Undertale Undyne Fight is a great action game offering an exciting battle with Undyne. Deflect spears, master Green and Red SOUL modes, and defeat the boss.
Inspired by Undertale, this game simulates one of the most memorable boss encounters. Taking place near the top of Waterfall, the battle tests your ability to react quickly, understand different SOUL modes, and recognize attack patterns before they overwhelm you. Undyne is the third boss encountered on the Neutral and True Pacifist routes. Before the fight begins, she gives a speech near the Undyne Arena SAVE Point, making it clear that she is determined to stop you. From that moment onward, the encounter becomes a test of movement, timing, and endurance. Besides, you can play Bad Time Simulator and Undertale Napstablook Fight to participate in exciting combats.
In Green Mode, you cannot simply run around the Bullet Board. Undyne sends spears toward you from different directions, including slow arrows, fast arrows, and attacks that change their approach direction. Your goal is to deflect the incoming spears with the shield. Watch where each spear is coming from and position your shield accordingly. The normal sequence includes groups of Green Mode phases. You need to survive these attacks until Undyne changes your SOUL to Red. The most important rule is simple: do not try to flee during Green Mode. You cannot escape while your SOUL is green, so concentrate on defending yourself.
Red Mode gives you freedom to move around the Bullet Board. On the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, this is your opportunity to escape. When Undyne changes your SOUL to Red, immediately look for the chance to flee. After the spear thrown during the transition, move downward to avoid it and then escape as quickly as possible. If you stay and continue fighting, Undyne's projectile speed gradually increases. Escaping during Red Mode resets this speed, making the next sequence easier to handle.
After fleeing from the initial encounter, Undyne chases you through Waterfall. Keep moving instead of stopping to fight her again. You can run back through the cave or continue forward. Although Undyne catches up quickly, continuing to flee eventually takes you toward Hotland. When you reach Hotland, keep running across the bridge. Undyne will eventually collapse from the intense heat after reaching the area with the water container. At that point, you can either continue walking or pour water on her. If you want access to the Undyne hangout on the True Pacifist route, pouring water on her is important.
The Undertale Undyne Fight becomes much easier once you stop treating it like a conventional attack-and-defend boss battle. Your objective on the normal routes is primarily to survive and escape rather than defeat Undyne through combat.
Memorize the basic rule:
This is the most important mechanic in the entire encounter. Trying to use the same strategy in both modes will make the battle unnecessarily difficult.
Green Mode attacks can come from different sides, and some projectiles move at different speeds. Do not focus only on your SOUL. Pay attention to the edges of the Bullet Board and identify where the next spear is coming from. Reacting to the direction of the attack rather than moving randomly will help you block more consistently.
If you are attempting a non-Genocide route, use Red Mode to escape rather than staying in the fight. This is one of the most important Undyne fight tips because her projectile speed increases the longer you remain engaged. A quick escape resets that speed increase, giving you a better chance of surviving the next encounter.
One Red Mode attack restricts the Bullet Board to a tiny box and sends spears upward in three columns. There is a very precise safe position between the left and center spears. Because the available space is extremely limited, avoid unnecessary movement and focus on reaching the safe spot.
During Green Mode, your priority is survival. Avoid making unnecessary movements with the shield if they do not help you block an incoming attack. During Red Mode, your priority changes to escape. Having a clear objective for each phase prevents you from reacting randomly.
ACT choices can influence Undyne's projectile speed. The Challenge ACT increases her projectile speed, while the Plead ACT reduces it within certain thresholds. If your goal is simply to survive, remember that Challenge can make the battle more difficult.
