Play Zombie Rush and survive relentless zombie waves. Choose your hero, defeat dangerous enemies, collect diamonds, upgrade your weapons, and fight to the end.

Your tasks in Zombie Rush

The basic objective is to survive successive waves of zombies.

Keep Moving While Attacking

Standing in one place is rarely a safe strategy. Different zombies can attack from different distances and directions. Some fire projectiles, others create area attacks, and several can cause significant damage if you allow them to get too close. Keep moving around the arena while maintaining your attacks. Pay attention to the ground as well as the enemies. Hazards such as hurricanes, acid pools, bloody projectiles, and bombs can become just as dangerous as the zombies themselves.

Upgrade Your Arsenal Between Rounds

After completing a round, you receive diamonds that can be spent on upgrades and boosters. After a round, you are presented with three booster options. Depending on the available choices, you can improve attributes such as:

  • Firing speed for all units
  • Health regeneration based on your hero's maximum health
  • Bullet damage for all units
  • Other combat improvements

Don't automatically choose the first attractive option. Think about what your current build lacks. If enemies are becoming difficult to eliminate, increased damage or firing speed may be valuable. If you're surviving encounters but losing too much health, regeneration can provide more long-term value.

Game controls: WASD or arrow keys = Run around.

Different Zombie Types in Zombie Rush

Like Plants Vs. Zombies, the Zombie Rush game also features various types of zombies. This action game introduces enemies with unique abilities, meaning you cannot rely on the same tactic throughout every wave.

Helmet Zombies

Helmet zombies have additional protection. You need to destroy their helmets before you can eliminate them effectively. When these enemies appear, account for the extra step rather than assuming your normal attacks will bring them down immediately.

Ranger Zombies

Ranger zombies attack from a distance with arrows. They can become especially dangerous when you are already dealing with a large group of enemies. If you notice arrows coming toward your position, keep moving and avoid predictable movement patterns.

Giant Zombies

Giant zombies attack by dropping rocks from above. Their attacks can cover areas that might otherwise appear safe, forcing you to watch the battlefield rather than focusing exclusively on targets. When a giant zombie is active, look for warning signs and move away from dangerous areas.

Poison Zombies

Poison zombies can infect you. Because their main threat comes from getting too close, maintaining distance is particularly important. If you have a ranged hero, this is a good opportunity to take advantage of that character's strengths.

Bloody Zombies

Bloody zombies can launch bloody balls toward you. These projectiles add another layer of pressure because you have to manage both the zombie itself and the objects it sends across the arena. Avoid the projectiles first, then reposition yourself for a safer attack.

Reaper Zombies

Reaper zombies can summon hurricanes. The hurricanes can disrupt your movement and make an already crowded battlefield much more difficult to navigate. When one appears, don't focus solely on dealing damage. Keep an eye on the hurricane's position and leave yourself enough room to escape.

Funeral Zombies

Funeral zombies emerge from coffins and immediately begin chasing you. Their behavior makes them particularly threatening when you're already surrounded by other enemies. Try to maintain enough distance to prevent them from closing in while you continue attacking other targets.

Priest Zombies

Priest zombies deserve special attention because they can heal other zombies. If you allow a priest to remain active, previously damaged enemies can recover and force you to repeat work. For this reason, eliminating priests early can make a difficult wave considerably easier.

Angel Zombies

Angel zombies deploy light prisms as an attack. These hazards can occupy important areas of the battlefield, restricting where you can safely move. Keep track of the prism positions while continuing to search for an open route.

TNT Zombies

TNT zombies create a dangerous surprise after they are eliminated. They can drop bombs when defeated, meaning killing them isn't necessarily the end of the threat. After taking one down, immediately check the surrounding area and move away from any bombs before returning your attention to other enemies.

Various Heroes in Zombie Rush

Like Iron Snout, this game also features various characters. There are six heroes available in Zombie Rush, and each one provides a distinctly different approach to combat. Choosing a hero isn't simply a cosmetic decision. Their weapons and abilities can influence how you deal with crowded waves and specialized enemies.

Ravan

Ravan uses explosive grenades and missiles. This makes him useful when you need to damage groups of zombies from a distance. If several enemies are clustered together, explosive attacks can help you deal with multiple threats without getting too close.

Aldrick

Aldrick combines ranged arrows with bear traps. His traps can immobilize zombies, giving you additional time to reposition or attack. This makes him a strong option if you prefer controlling enemy movement rather than relying entirely on raw damage.

Brisco

Brisco uses Tesla coils, stun grenades, and untargetable turrets. His automated turrets are especially useful because they can continue targeting nearby zombies while you focus on movement and survival. If you like a defensive setup with automated damage, Brisco offers a natural fit.

Bedric

Bedric relies on explosive barrels and incendiary Molotov cocktails. His abilities allow you to create dangerous areas that can discourage zombies from approaching. Use his tools to manipulate where enemies move rather than waiting until they have already surrounded you.

Dazul

Dazul is a masked warrior who uses ancient powers. He can summon dark spirits to weaken nearby zombies and place fire totems that attack enemies. He can also deploy healing totems that release restorative orbs. His abilities provide both offensive and supportive options, making positioning particularly important.

Albus

Albus uses magical portals to suck in zombies and can summon untargetable fire scrolls that pursue and burn enemies. His abilities are well suited to controlling groups. Instead of simply attacking the closest zombie, you can use his powers to manipulate enemy positions and create safer space around your character.

Special Events in Zombie Rush

A purple portal can appear during gameplay and transport you to a random special arena. These events introduce rules that can completely change how you approach the battlefield.

Acid Pool Arena

In one event, acid pools periodically appear on the ground. You need to monitor the arena continuously and move away from newly dangerous areas. The main challenge here is maintaining awareness while still dealing with the zombies.

Shadow Arena

Another event places zombies in the shadows. Reduced visibility makes enemy positioning harder to read and forces you to react more carefully. Instead of charging forward, keep your movement controlled and be ready for enemies to appear from unexpected locations.

Gem Destruction Arena

A different event threatens your collected gems. At the end of each wave, uncollected gems can be destroyed. This creates an additional objective beyond simple survival. You need to balance combat with collecting valuable resources before they disappear.

Tips for Surviving Longer in Zombie Rush

Prioritize High-Impact Enemies

Not every zombie deserves equal attention. Priests can heal other enemies, rangers attack from a distance, and reapers can create hurricanes. These abilities can dramatically change the battlefield. Identify the zombie that poses the biggest immediate threat and deal with it before focusing on weaker targets.

Keep an Escape Route Open

Avoid allowing zombies to surround you. When moving around the arena, think about where you can go next if a new enemy appears. A small open area can become extremely valuable when several enemies begin closing in.

Use Abilities Before You're Overwhelmed

Don't wait until you're surrounded to activate an important ability. Crowd-control tools, traps, grenades, turrets, and magical attacks are much more useful when they create space before the situation becomes critical.
